The International Society of Biomechanics is an organisation dedicated to the promotion and support of scientific research in the field of biomechanics. Areas of interest include Sports Biomechanics, Clinical and Rehabilitation Biomechanics, Locomotion, Neuromuscular and Tissue Biomechanics. Technical sections of the ISB cater for members with special interests in Computer simulation and 3D analysis of human movement, Shoulder biomechanics and Footwear biomechanics. Every two years, the ISB hosts an International Congress of Biomechanics. The most recent 21^st Congress was held in Taipei, Taiwan.
